TONITE ONLY has been reborn in 2011 with Sam La More and Groove Terminator joining forces once again to decimate club-goers and cram some extra lightning into their already overstuffed bottle. From We Run the Nite to Haters Gonna Hateto sold out clubnights Tonite Only smashes the charts as hard as the dancefloor. Two producers at the top of their game making the no-holds-barred kind of dance tunes that only they can and they’ll be infiltrating your ears in no time.
Whether it’s on stage or on record, THE MEDICS are truly something to behold. An exhilarating blur of passion and movement, the band bring an all-too-rare sense of urgency to their music that’s underpinned their emergence as one of the country’s most genuinely exciting new bands.
Since their earliest days in postcard paradise of Cairns, the band has followed its own path, defying convention and reveling in the unpredictable. Their debut This Boat We Call Love EP of 2010 is a slice of indie-rock magic that launched them into the spotlight – earning national airplay and kicking off a touring schedule that has seen them cross the country and turn in highlight sets at the Dreaming, Woodford, Peats Ridge, BIGSOUND Live, and Groovin’ the Moo festivals.
YESYOU is production duo Jono Kirkham and Gav Parry. You have probably heard their gorgeously buoyant debut track ‘Half Of It’, which has been bothering triple j and community radio stations for most of 2011. For the past few months, they’ve been holed up in the studio writing and producing remixes that are notable for their versatility but united by classy production and a classic indie pop sensibility. Keep an eye out for their first live shows in November, when they will be performing as a five piece band.
